What is the ECO4 scheme?
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) Scheme is a government-led initiative aimed at reducing fuel poverty by offering free insulation and heating grants to households in England, Wales, and Scotland. ECO4 adopts a “whole house, insulation first” strategy, ensuring homes are properly insulated before considering additional energy-saving measures, such as heating upgrades, which can also be funded through the scheme.
Funded by the UK’s largest energy companies, we collaborate with these providers to help you access this free funding. The scheme is designed to lower your energy bills, improve home warmth, and reduce issues like condensation, damp, and mould, which are often linked to poorly insulated and heated properties.
Eligibility for the scheme depends on specific criteria, and not all households will qualify. However, for those who do, ECO grants are non-repayable and typically cover the full cost of installations.

Green Energy Sense are committed to helping you reduce your energy bills. Working directly with the UK’s leading energy companies; we can offer free insulation, heating grants, heat pumps and solar panels via the ECO4 and ECO4 Flex schemes.
